The notarised letter below was issued by the UPU on the 24th February 1978 to the Michel Catalogue, confirming the appointment of our source as sole concessionary to issue stamps on behalf of Equatorial Guinea. Why is there any question of legality about stamps issued under this contract? Surely the UPU cannot deny the validity of the contract having issued this letter? The UPU has been dealing with our source for more than 30 years in a completely routine fashion, (see the fax from Maria Libera at the UPU dated 16th March 2000) why is it only now that his stamp issues have suddenly become illegal? These questions need to be answered by the UPU, and answered NOW before even more damage is done to the legitimate philately business by the malicious claims of ill-informed bureaucrats.
